Sound difference Gadget <-> stand alone apps

Today I was playing around a bit with the synths in Gadget and their stand alone version, like Mono Poly.
I noticed that there is a big difference in quality when you listen to the same sounds in both Gadget and stand alone.
For instance:
In Mono Poly, factory sound B089: Laidback Arp.
This sounds so lovely in the stand alone version.
When you listen to it in Gadget (number 090, for some reason), it doesn’t sound so smooth and nice. And there are more examples..
Does anybody know the reason for it? Why can’t the Gadget version sound as nice as the stand alone version? It annoys me a lot. [/i]
