Electribe 2 and Minilogue - Setting up

Total idiot here.

What is the best way to connect the minilogue and electribe 2 to expand the sequencing capabilities of the minilogue.

My main goal would be to create an 8th note sequence with the sound coming from the minilogue, being recorded to the electribe.

I have a feeling I'm fundamentally misunderstanding these two and how they can connect to each other, I've exhausted other avenues and truly would appreciate any and all help!
