What MAX eq settings for Pa1000?

Post by tomyl »

Hi All,
Does any body changed the EQ for PA1000 to get the MAX EQ ( something similar to PA4X ). Since MAXAudio Master is missing in PA1000, I don't know even it is possible.. Please share your thoughts.
Thanks

The manual is a great source of information, it is readily downloadable from Korg.

Additionally there are Korg Video Manuals on Youtube and this will show you the Eq and effects

Why YOU do not try to change the EQ for Pa1000 to get MAX EQ something similar to Pa4x (Thread "PA4X EQ Settings") and share your results?
Simply change your settings - use Input-Trim (maybe 96) so that signal may not cause distortion, use Gain for emphasis or attenuation of the corresponding band, use Frequency to set center of it and use high Q for more accurate filters or low Q for softer equalization.

Also there is no MAXX-AudioMaster with seven programmable bands - but there is also a built-in professional audio equalizer in Pa1000 that features at least FOUR programmable bands with the same fully adjustable gain, frequency and Q parameters to optimize your sounds.

Maxx also produce 10-band equalizers - inspired by a TEC Hall of Fame inductee - to design EQ curves and shape its frequency response with accuracy and ease.
But may be using final mastering effects - like Limiter and Master EQ - with Pa1000 you also get surprisingly results with fewer parameters available, but fitting with right parameters.

Volume of Maxx-AudioMaster is for dynamics compensation, increases (or decreases) RMS levels, delivering louder sound with no audible distortion. Same does the built-in Limiter of Pa1000, lifting the average level and at same time prevent clipping without hearing any adverse effects or distortions (again if parameters are set with reasonable values).

Pa4x settings presented in the thread "Pa4x Eq Settings:
Frequ 48 / 81 / 203 / 645 / 2048 / 6502 / 11585 /
Gain 5,1 / 2,8 / 2,5 / 2,5 / 5,3 / 2,8 / 5,1
Q 1,5 / 1,19 / 2,03 / 0,88 / 1,02 / 1,33 / 0,43

Try Pa1000 settings and share your opinion about these settings (isolated pro band)
fq 90 / 500 / 4.00K / 9.00K
Gain 2,5 / 2,5 / 3 ,0 / 4,0
Q 1,0 / -0,5 / 1,0 / 0,8

Or try InpTrim 96, Q = 0,6 / 4,0 / 0,5 / 0,5; f = 90, 500, 3.40K, 8.00K / Gain = + 1,0, - 2,0, - 5,0, + 4,0
or InpTrim 96, Q = 0,6 / 1,5 / 0,5 / 0,5; f = 90, 260, 2.20K, 12.00K / Gain = + 1.0, 0.0, - 2,0, + 3,0
- and if you have played around with EQ settings and found something better than share your results!
kind regards
