Korg kross

Post by RobbyX50 »

So, my korg x50 is unfixable. The charger port (klm 2679b) is nowhere to be found online. I mainly bought the X50 for the combis. But there is one combi in particular that I absolutely loved. That is "Ballad layer EP". Im really considering on getting the Kross. To anyone that has the Kross, does that keyboard have Ballad Layer EP? It probably has a different name.
I choose to go to the top. You are where are because you choose to be.

Don't know whether it has an identical combi, but it certainly has that style of thing.

I would, in your position, get a Kross and get comfortable with it. It's really not a bad thing, for the money.

Maybe you can even get a Kross 1, used, at a nice discount.

Yeah, the Kross keybed isn't very good (I find it playable but YMMV of course), but it looks like you can get a Kross 1 for around $400 - $450 now on eBay, and you get a lot of other really good things (Kronos piano samples, improved drums, user samples, light weight, etc.)...as Koekepan says, it's not bad for the money...I thought that handle on the back was really weird until I got one and started moving it around, it's really handy (so to speak)...

Edit: From a brief online search, it looks like the KLM2679b board is repairable, it only has simple requlators ICs, a diode bridge, and passive components on it...
