Input trims pa700

Would you say that each "category" of preset has an ideal input trim, say, one trim for "synth" type voices and another for more percussion/acoustic sounds (strings/mallet/hammer instruments etc), or is it even more individual than that ??

Just looking to get the least distortion/maximum clarity if you see what I mean.,
