Hi Paul

Yes this is normal and is also GREAT because the flashing green light is synchronised with the current style's tempo!!!
So you can "see" the tempo before you start playing - this was a wish-list request during PA3X days that Korg responded to.

thanks Pete.
that makes sense as I can "motion" the timing to my drummer :)

I just upgraded from Pa3x to 4x.....

cheers

Congratulations Paul - PA4X is a fabulous new machine.

Keep in mind that the OS leans more heavily on SONGBOOK now - far more sensible and logical IMHO.
There's a bit of a learning curve but that's what makes it more exciting....
Coming from the fabulous PA3X, I am sure you'll skim through it and pass with honours (if you haven't already)

Kaoss is "chaos in heaven" - fabulous feature

Enjoy

Pete, I haven't touched KAOSS. Can you elaborate as to how it would be useful for "old people"music...Country, Rock n Roll, Standards, Blues...
Thanks!

Hey Don

Maybe much of the Kaoss wouldn't suit you but if you get a moment, try some of the Kaoss FX presets - I'm sure something could work for you.

These are very much "whilst-you-are-playing" FX - you cannot select and "save" Kaoss FX specifically for your style/song - it's a hands-on FX feature - but quite awesome IMHO.

Have a play around with it...

Thanks Pete, I said I hadn't touched it, but that's not true. I did fool around with it a little bit at home and didn't see anything that I thought would suit my style.
I will investigate the FX presets!
