how to convert styles of PA1x to PA4x

dear friends

any one knows how to convert PA1x styles to PA4x. i have a lot of them which i would like to convert to my PA4x. While trying to load in the 4x it gives error message" Not PA File" is there any solution for this please?

....do you get this error even if you load styles one by one?

You shouldn't get this error unless there is something wrong with the file or your PA4X
I play very many styles from my PA1/2/3X (and I-series) - never seen that error.

Yes i get this message even when uploading one by one. The style extension of the 1x that i have is same as 4x
" STY"
could it be some setting that i need to change?

As Pete said , this is not normal and your existing Pa4X STY resources might have a code bug , so if your Pa1X SET is not
commercial and protected , do the following !
- Save your Pa4X set as Save.ALL if you have important stuff else abandon it.
- Goto MEDIA/UTILITY/third option Factory Restore !
- Open your Pa1X.SET/open Styles/open Banks and load one by one Styles you need (not the whole bank)
- Let us know about results ...

I will try that and let you know. i forgot to mention that the style files are not in a set they are independent kept since more than 12 years in my PC. Might this be the reason?

I can't see how that would present a problem.
Follow Antony's advice and see how you go.

My old ".STY" files are over 15 years old and from old PCs but I have never encountered the problem you are experiencing.

Have you ever loaded these files on a previous arranger (e.g. PA2/3)?

I am happy to try one of your STY files on my PA4X and help confirm where the problem lies if you wish.

Thank you so much Pete. I had only PA80, PA1x and then 4x.
I will send you 2 or 3 styles to try them to find out the problem

Checked your files and they are not Korg PA files.
Sent you a PM and e-mail

How did you create/obtain these - they look like they are individual styles but they need to be in a style bank container file (".STY")
The headers within these files confirm that they are not valid .STY bank container files. They also contain some text references which are not Korg related.
