Low Pass Filter Cutoff by Foot pedal

Post by Mark vG »

Hi all,

I am making a combi where a synthesizer pad (2 EXi's AL-1) needs a gradual opening of the Low Pass Filter (cutoff frequency). In the program I can do that by turning knob 1 gradually open.
Unfortunately I need both hands for playing. So I tried to assign my foot pedal (CC#04) to the cutoff frequency in the program. After trying for a while I couldn't get it to work..

Does anyone know how to do this?

It's probably because your filter is already fully opened. To confirm this, under Filter Mod tab assign -99 to Filter A modulation intensity and CC#04 to AMS1. Now your pedal should close the filter and behave in a reverse fashion.

If it does that, simply change the previously mentioned intensity to a positive value instead of -99 and under the filter Basic tab close your filter cutoff further (filter A "frequency" setting).
