KAPro EXs 19 Library Free?

Post by DJ1 »

At the Korg Sound Library website, I registered my Kronos 2, and was looking to download EXs 19 Kapro's Private Collection. It says it is free of charge for Kronos 2 owners. When I add it to my cart, it comes up as $99.

It says "Introductory price through Dec 2014. Normal price $99."

But at the top right it still says it's $0.00 for new Kronos owners. Is this deal over? Is there a promo code?

Thanks.

Thanks benny ray.

I notice at the bottom of the page I can download the demo version. Is this what you mean?

I am not able to find the link or option to download where it says "For New Kronos" (top right of page).

I must be missing something....

For most additional EXs, install the demo version and after buying yours (which will be free of charge if you have a K2), you will find the unlocking code after logging in on the Korg shopping site under "Product Registration Information". Simply register the demo with that code and the sound won't cut anymore while you play. IIRC, there is also a PDF file link you can click to see instructions there.

I was able to install the demo version onto my K2. But when I go to my shopping cart with the EXs19, it states it is $99.00. My K2 has been registered as I can see it under "Product Registration Info." It also shows that I have EXS17 and EXS18 (which came installed).

I am not sure why I am still being charged the $99.00.

Hi DJ1,

You have to select your Public ID with the dropbox arrow on the left side of the shopping cart. Then it will indicate 0 $. Otherwise, maybe your browser could create this fault. I use Firefox.

Hi KK,

Yup, in my shopping cart my Public ID shows a bunch of letters and numbers, then Kronos2-88. I am on Firefox as well. Still shows up as $99.00.

I emailed Kapro productions with hopes they can help. Are there any other contacts that could possibly help?

If not it's all good. It would be nice to try these sounds out - especially if they are free. But the K2 has lots of options already, which I am happy with.

Hopefully you will get help from Korg and/or Kapro. Another thing I think of that could cause this would be one mistaken character in your public ID. I think the characters are always lowercase. Make sure you didn't use capital letters if any, unless it is what appears on your Kronos ID. I am sure you already checked that, but just a thought I had in case it could help. In any case, keep us posted and hopefully it will be solved very soon.

I ended up hearing back from Korg. They were really helpful and provided me with the authorization code.

Glad they could solve your problem. I hope they will also fix the Web site or link if it was the cause.
