Pa4x transpose to DAW problem
Hi guys,
I am editing/recording my styles in DP9 but when I do a transpose from Pa4, DP does not recognise it.
To make it more clear.....
I have a percussion kit that Congas are on C0.
I use the transpose from PA4 to bring the sound to the physical keyboard at C3 so I can play it.
When I hit record my DAW does not record the C0 but C3 instead.
I hope I made it clear..
thank you!!!

Hi,
I think it´s a normal behaviour.
You HIT the C3-Key so exactly that is sent to the DAW. The transpose works only local I think.
Solution :
Record it with the "wrong" values and with 2 mouseclicks convert ( transpose ) it in your DAW.

ΒΤW transposing AFTER is not the best option because if you are loop recording, lets say a drum pattern, you are always listening the wrong samples.....
You have to stop, find where are the right ones transpose them and continue....not the best option as I said earlier ......
I don't know if this is a a normal Pa4x behaviour (I didn't have this problem using other keyboards) but if there is no solution it is very disappointed....

Hi,
I just tried it with my PA4X-MUSIKANT ( OS from June 2018 ).
I started MIDI-OX on my PC and used the USB-Connection between Keyboard an PC.
If I transpose the key the transposed values are transmitted correctly ( pressing "C5" with transpose "+2" transmitts the "D5" value ).
If I use UpperOctave it´s the same. Pressing "C5" with "2 octaves down" transmitts the "C3" value.
Using MIDI-Preset 01, "Default", Midi-Out CH01 is set to "Upper 1".
So it must be a problem with your settings...

Well after a lot of hit and miss........the "problem" is on Pa4x....
On the Global page I had this setup for playing and recording Pa4x in my DAW
MIDI IN
Ch 01 - Ch 08:off
Ch 09 : Bass
Ch 10 : Drum
Ch 11 : Percussion
Ch 12 : Acc 1
Ch 13 : Acc 2
Ch 14 : Acc 3
Ch 15 : Acc 4
Ch 16 : Acc 5
MIDI OUT
Ch 01 : Chord
All others were off.
When I set the MIDI out channels like the ones below problem solved but now it doesn't play the guitars in Guitar mode

Hi,
maybe the problem is in front of your PA4X
. Or it´s me because I don´t understand what you want to achieve exactly
When you play the drums manually on the keyboard you should set MIDI-Out CH01 to "Upper1".
MIDI-IN CH01 to "Drums" ( or, in your DAW, move the tracks from CH01 to CH10 )
