M1 to T3 conversion?

Discussion relating to all other KORG synth related products that don’t have a dedicated section. For example, OASYS PCI, M1, N Series, 01W series, T series, and more…

Yes - load them. The T-series is compatible with M1 data.

One way is to capture MIDI Data Dumps of the Progs and Combis from the M1 (on a computer running an appropriate MIDI utility) as SysEx files. Then use the utility to send the files to the T3.

For Windows, I suggest MIDI-OX (http://www.midiox.com/). It's much more than a librarian.

I don't use a Mac, but I understand that Snoize (https://www.snoize.com/) is a good choice.

Can the M1 sysex file be transferred to the T3

Then: If M1 Sysex successfully loaded, can the programs/combi / global data all be saved to a disk through the working FDD?

If various M1 sysex files were available and imported into the T3, could a larger collection of Disks holding M1 files in A , B, C, D be saved?

Yes.

A single disk can hold either one file plus PCM data, or four files, depending on how it's formatted.
