What core?

Post by dannybaws »

The Korg MS20 is triangle core correct?

Also. I have the MS20m, is the sync hard or soft?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

The original Korg MS20 has a sawtooth core for both VCOs, but did not have a sync.

The MS20m (desktop version) is an enhanced replica of MS20. One would think it has also sawtooth cores, but that is not a given I would say.
It does have the VCO sync feature. Not sure what it will be, but my bet is that it is a simple hard sync.

Thanks. It will be saw then as its definetly a faithful remake. I thought it was a saw because the sync sounds really hard (I don't think you can really do soft sync with saw core, but both work with tri) and the FM didn't sound as musical as my tri core stuff.

I just read somewherw it was triangle which I found suprising but it was just someone on a forum so... not a korg forum and u guys will no best.

Thanks again
