Data dump from x3 to chrome

Hi,
Just bought a new chrome to replace my classic x3. Before I sell the x3 I want to transfer my old sequencer songs from the x3 to the chrome. According to the manuals I should be able to do a midi data dump. Any reason why it shouldn't work?
