Sample clearing

Post by chaosdreamer13 »

I'm using my red Electribe 2 to control an external synth. I've got the control of my synth going really good, but the pattern part has a sample assigned to it and I can't figure out how clear it. I know if I delete the sample it will be clear until I assign another sample to it, BUT I don't want to delete my samples. Any suggestions?

Instead of sample assign it to audio in. Can't remember what it's called off the top my head but think it's Osc In, it'll be near the start of the sample list.

Unfortunately using the audio in isn't an option. I'm already using that function with another synth. At this point I think once you assign a sound to a certain part the only thing you can do to not hear it is to turn the level all the way down. Oh well.

if you are not going to use that sample in other patterns while playing and only want to use that pattern when playing in conjunction with the synth.

Delete the sample.

DO NOT Export All sample (!!!)

The sample will re-appear next time you boot up the E2S because you didnt over-write the allsample.

If you are using that sample in other patterns for this performance - tough - you will need lower the volume of that pad as you suggested.
