Microkorg XL and Ableton send midi notation via USB

Post by fabio_oid »

Hi everyone,

All new audio interfaces these days are removing the MIDI inputs.
Does anyone know if it's possible to send MIDI notations to my microkorg xl using the USB cable instead of the having to use a midi cable?

I'm trying to figure out if I should buy an older Audio interface with MIDI in and out or if I can get a newer one without.

thank you

Hi,

No problem to send MIDI to the XL using the plain USB cable. Just make sure to install the Korg USB driver first.

Have fun!
