Use pads to control sequencer tracks?

First time poster, and Kross n00b (actually, new to all things synth...)

I recently purchased a Kross 2 for my wife (as a piano) with the added benefit of getting to monkey around with it myself. As a long-time guitarist, I'm interested in learning the ropes on this. And as a song-writer, it appears to have a lot of great song-building functionality.

Having said that, while I've successfully built out a multi-track song on the sequencer, what I'd really like to be able to do now is control which of the tracks are playing (i.e. Play/Mute) at any one point, ideally via the 16 pads. Is there a way to do that?

I've found that ability in the Mix tab of the Sequencer menu, but getting accurate real-time control from there is difficult, at best.

Any help/guidance is greatly appreciated!
