I'd Like To Have A Drum Backing Track

Post by ggm1960 »

I've been using Korg and other keyboards for years but I've typically controlled them from external sequencer programs so I've not spent any time actually looking at the built in sequencers on these things.
My wife and I have put together our own little duo now and I'd trying to keep things as basic and simple as possible as opposed to the complicated keyboard setups I've put together for playing in bands.

There's a song we're doing where it would be real helpful to add a drum backing track. I suspect I'll get the best results from using the built in sequencer but I'm wondering how others here might approach it. Would you use an external sequencer to tweak together the specific track you want and then import it? Would you just record it directly into the built in sequencer, call it a song and do it that way? Perhaps you can just use a preset pattern or create a new one and run it from a combi while playing over the top of it?

Any input could be helpful and I'd appreciate your suggestions!
Always in need of assistance.
