MP3 voice removal

I have just been told you can remove singer voice from an mp3 and play to the backing track, is there instruction in the Korg manual to try this, I am just curious.

Yup, and it works as well as any other center cancelling device. Depends on the file, as to how it will sound, but it's a simple button push.

The feature is a selectable option for the switches above the joystick. Here's a video showing the process, but it's as easy as assigning one of those buttons to "vocal remover"

Programming the assignable switches

Assigning a function to the assignable switches
You can program the ASSIGNABLE SWITCHES in a different way for each
Keyboard Set. Choosing a different set of Sounds may therefore change the
controls assigned to these switches, to match the different types of Sounds.

1 Go to the Style Play/Song Play > Pad/Switch > Switch page.
2 Use one of the Switch 1…3 menus to choose a command to be assigned to
the corresponding switch.
3 Write the changes to a Keyboard Set

Quick way

Press and hold Shift

Press Assignable Button 3

From the Menu select Vocal Remover.

Then a press of Assignable Button 3 will start the vocal removal process

Hi uncle Dave, Wavemaker and Biggles, thanks for answers I will keep them in my ref. folder. I must say that Biggles made it seem so simple, it's nice to know you guys are out there when I get stuck.
