SV1 Stand (73 note) homemade extension

Hi Everyone. New Sv-1 owner here and just finding my feet with it.

When gigging, I'm a standing player so you can imagine my disappointment when the sv1 bk stand 'height adjustable' stand turns up and it's only for sitting.

I'm planning to extend it using some 25mm (2mm thick) steel tubing, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-Pack-Spri ... fresh=true <- those and some threaded rod.

any thoughts/
