second try:
i did a selection of the best factory patterns+bonus (for my personal taste).
now i want to do an ALLPAT file with these about 200 patterns in order to have them all disposable without loading them every time from the SD card.
is it possible? becouse it seems tha it wont function...

I make alot of 'select' allpatterns.
I wont go into the fine details as would take ages but at the conceptual level -
1- Export the factory allpattern to the SD card
2 Export every single pattern as a single pattern to the SD card.
3 On a PC or Mac create these folders INSIDE the Pattern folder on the SD card.Pattern Folder. A FACTORY Folder, a BLANK Folder and a SINGLES Folder.
Create two folders inside the SINGLES Folder - ONE and TWO.
4 - shift the exported allpattern to the FACTORY Folder. Shift about 99 of the single patterns to the folder ONE. Shift the remaining to TWO.
(why you are doing this is the reader cant show all the single patterns when you try and import - I think it stops at 99(?) - it may be more but if you stick them all in one place the machine will not be able to import them all individually).
5 - pop the card back in E2/S and delete every pattern on the machine. Export *that* allpattern and pop back in the PC and Copy/paste a verion of that to the BLANK folder. That's there whenever you want to start from scratch. (THIS STEP you may be lucky to find a blank allpattern somebody has posted on web...)
6 - pop the card back in E2/S and import every single pattern in the order you wish from the folders ONE or TWO. When you are happy you can export *that* allpattern. I'd recommend make a separate folder again inside the PATTERN folder for that .. and so on. The import pattern function will let you navigate throughout your folder tree to import the allpattern you want.
This way you can build up and arm your card with a number of SETS compiled of different allpatterns and if you change your mind in a gig between sets just import a different one.
This is only one way traffic - you CAN ONLY EXPORT TO ONE LOCATION THE TOP LEVEL OF THE PATTERN FOLDER.
So if you had one sitting there you were relying on you have written over it if you export the current allpattern. BLAM.
Yes, its tedious to set up but well worth it in the long run

You can use this web service to build an allpat from a zip of patterns, or split an allpat to a zip of patterns:
https://e2allpat.herokuapp.com
This script will build an allpat from a single pattern:

A blank allpat file is available here:
