Locked fonction in Pa4x
Possibility of opening the lock function of the Pa4x screen with password in order to protect our keyboards during outdoor use. this function is very useful and Yamaha has already integrated it at the Genos level.

take
I would think if I leave my keyboard somewhere it should be safe or might be missing when I get back.
People try to turn it on and figure out your password and spill a beer on it.. And then leave it and just walk away without turning it off and it will sit there and burn itself out.
take the power chord is good but the chord for amps and qsc speakers use the same chord … this is just my opinion

....or better still - stay with it (at least in sight) - I, personally, could never leave my gear unattended in any live situation.

korg : Sorry, the password must contain at least one upper case character.
User : 50BLOODYboiledcabbages
korg : Sorry, the password must not have cosecutive capital letters.

What would happen if you forgot your own password? Make the set big enough that takes very long to save thats what i do. My set takes a good 15 minutes to save and uses a 2 step process. I modified the factory sounds so you need to load a BKP then load my set to use my beats and keyboard sets thereby making it too time consuming for someone to steal.

I don’t think is a bad idea at all and actually not very sure but “probably” a requirement by law in current modern times to implement some security functions which most of electronic devices who stores user data have.
For an electronic keyboard which cost more than 3000 in any currency and which stores personal user data sound or styles or whatever at around 1.5Gb I think it should be protected by some form of security.
Korg have already some sort of solution to it by using protected sample data on encrypted USB or memory cards however this function is available only for commercial gains which in my opinion is not fair to other users. I think all users should be given the possibility to protect their work resources and share or use as their wish their SET without fear of someone else stealing and misusing their work.
I would even go more far and suggest that the possibilities with PA4X or a newer models security or any other functions are endless and probably even a physical personal security key when turning on keyboard it’s a good idea as well. Its time Korg move to a future connected music... internet network , secure sharing, collaborating and probably even cloud.

Very well said and I agree.kleant wrote:I don’t think is a bad idea at all and actually not very sure but “probably” a requirement by law in current modern times to implement some security functions which most of electronic devices who stores user data have.

Korg company should give this possibility to their customers/users (Not only giving this possibility to the third parties developers who work with Korg)
to protect their personal data like other companies, for example Microsoft, Apple, etc...
In the matter of protecting personal data I don't see any difference when we use a PC (personal computer) and a pro keyboard like Pa4X.
