Seems that Nektar keeps on pushing..
I really liked how their keyboards interface with software..
Making the keyboards feel like an extension of the software
Now there is Nektar Aurs, a pad controller
With high end integration with your DAW and VST’s

Nektar keeps moving forward..
So far their products had a plasticky feeling
But with the Aura and their pedal unit Pacer this seems no longer the case..
The Ara price is 350 euro’s at start.. not bad..
So basically nektar now has keyboards aimed at studio use
A padcontroller with high end drum intergation
Lets hope their next step is a high end keyboard, that gives you the feeling of sitting behind a real hardware workstation?
Compared to other companies like NI, Novation, aikai VIP... NEktar seems to have a better idea what musicians want.. so far i like my Nektar P1, that allowed me to turn my Mac in a 16 part sound module.. with this pad controller, its just one more step in the right direction..

I tried the Nektar Aura for a few weeks, great controller, let down by a woeful pile of dirt they call software, Buggy, as hell, clunky, GUI that really kills workflow. Truely awful, especially when compared to NI Komplete Kontrol.
The hardware itself is great, the onboard sequencer is good. Fun to use, but that software really pans the product.
