Hello everyone ! First time posting here.
I'd like to know if a SQ-1 can do what a SQ-10 can do.
I am limiting myself to a strictly vintage use of my MS-20, so I don't want to create sounds/sequence that a SQ-10 can't do.
I can't offer myself a SQ-10 but I can have a SQ-1.
Maybe you guys can tell me what not to do with a SQ-1 to stay in the SQ-10 range.
I hope my english was ok !
Thank you all & greetings from France ♪
SQ-1 as SQ-10

Hi,
The SQ-1 has a few things that are not immediately possible with the SQ10.
* Sequencer modes: random picking steps, configurable duty cycle per step, back and forth mode, configurable slide per step.
* Gate on/off: which is like muting a step.
* Active step: this is like skipping steps. Although it can be used to mimick the reset of the sequencer by a step trigger output by enabling the first n steps and disable the remaining ones.
* Slide on/off per step.
* The knob output for CV can be automatically adjusted for a minor, major or chromatic scale.
That's about it.
Have fun.
