Help! microKontrol midi CC sliders... Assign & make work

Hello. I've figured out how to change the sliders to say CC#'s but then they just go back to working as volume only and don't actually control the parameter in the software that is set tp that Midi CC#.

Please help! Very frustrating...

I have the old Korg Microkontrol 37 key unit... and running iMac High Sierra 10.13.6.

The pitch bend works as a MIDI CC# with the softwares automatically but I can't get any of the sliders to work. (Kontakt)
