sorry, can't find out proper place to ask this question:

I have an ancient Korg D1600mkii which works fine. I don't know If I'm being stupid by continuuing to use it.

I accidentally wiped the hard drive and lost 10 years of work. I thought I was formatting a CDRW, but no, it was the drive, not the disc which I formatted.

anyhoo, trying to re-import files from CD that I made on this machine and it says "illegal disc". I guess because it's "finallized?"

It does play on the machine but wont import.

Any suggestions how to get these files back on the machine?
