Korg D1600 MK1 buttons not working

Some of the buttons on my Korg D1600 have stopped working reliably and in some cases, stopped working at all making editing almost impossible. At the moment the problem is with the most used buttons(transport, "Track", "Meter/Track View") but it seems to be affecting the other buttons from time to time as well. I press the button and I feel it click but it does nothing. Sometimes I have to press the button continuously for several minutes before it finally registers. In the case of the "Track" button most of the time it simply doesn't work no matter how many times or for how long I press for. :(

I have very limited knowledge of electronics but am willing to get stuck in if the problem is able to be fixed. Is anyone having or had similar problems? If you managed to fix it, how?
Or if no one has had a similar experience, does anyone know the correct name for these types of buttons? At least then I can do some internet research and work out the best way to repair or replace them.
