EDITED , using effects units via AUX send return

to any experienced mixers ,, wanting to use my PANDORA Px5d and Px4d via a small desk , AUX i-o , they are obviously sensitive to signal strength , having hi - lo ze switch as they call it,, How can I be certain or measure the combination of AUX send signals to be sure not to over-input the Px5d , or any other device that is used , as if the effect unit being used had a gain clip function ,, Jon,, this was edited
