XE20 USB recognition

Hi, brand new XE20 will not recognise brand new 64gb flash/usb drive and I need this to move midi files from my pc. So any ideas? Do I need to format the drive on my pc first and if so what file system?

The user manual is quite specific about only inserting and removing any USB drives with the keyboard power switched off.

With a USB drive connected, it should be possible to format the drive using Media | Category | Media Format.
