Pedal compatibility for Kronos 2

Post by CyberWho »

Hey all,

I recently bought a Kronos 2 (playing it together with my Nord Stage 3) and I have an expression pedal Behringer FC600. Could anyone tell me if Kronos 2 supports this pedal for usage, and if not, which one would you recommend for me to use?

While I am not familiar with that specific pedal, in my experience, I have found that any pedal seems to work with the Kronos. I have used Yamaha, Roland, and Alesis pedals of various types with no issue. (Of course, the polarity of a damper pedal may need to be adjusted in Global if it's not a Korg pedal.)
Current: Kronos 61 Titanium, Yamaha Montage 6, Roland Fantom, Dexibell Vivo S7 Pro, MPC Live II; Previous: Kronos 73 SE and 2 88, Yamaha Motif 6, XF, EX5, SY77, DX7 (x2), CP33, Roland JP-50, Alesis QS8

Yes, it should work. The "polarity" and pot value have been reported to be the same as the Korg XVP-20.

I can't seem to get it working - when I plug it in the sound stops. I am using headphones. Checked the MIDI Filter/Zones that foot pedal is selected.

Is the pedal fully forward (i.e. toe down)? Does the sound return as the pedal is moved? The cable will need to be the TRS type. It won't work with a TS cable. In Global MIDI settings, Foot Pedal Assign should be set to Expression (CC#11).
