Newbie - Hello and Questions!

Post by Big Rick »

Hi! I have had a Krome 61 for quite a while, and I have never got around to using it much. I have a stack of my own songs originally created on my old N364 that I have saved as MIDI files.

Can I load these MIDI files (which have really bad or really wrong GM instruments assigned) into my Krome, then
- Edit program sounds (I think I know how to do this)
- Edit tempo (I can't seem to get this to change)
- Save the song in SNG format? (I can't seem to save anything!)
Regards, Big Rick.

Yes, yes, and yes!

I'm assuming that you have them in standard MIDI format - the Krome can ingest this. Slap them onto an SDcard, put it in the Krome, go to the Media mode (top left button in the six to the left of the screen), and load 'em up.

Editing program sounds: yup, standard procedure. Load up a file, poke at your instruments.

Edit tempo: I think that there are a couple of ways of doing this, but I'd go to the track editing mode and add tempo setting commands in the master track.

Save the song in SNG format: should work fine. Hit the Media button, go to the save tab, hit the options up top and then save as you please.
