Korg microSAMPLER as a midi controller

Hi folks, I know there hasn't been a post in this section in over 10 years, but I have a newbie question.

Does anyone know if and if so, how, a microSAMPLER can be used as a midi controller to trigger VSTs in Studio One?

My setup:

KORG microSAMPLER > Audiobox USB96 > USB+MIDI > PC > Studio One.

I can play the MS and record into S1 no problem, but I cannot use the MS to control VST instruments in S1. I have my settings correct as far as I can tell but it simply doesn't work. I am not sure if it is a setting on the MS, or a setting in S1, or both, but it simply doesn't work and it seems like it should.

Any help would be most appreciated.
