Good guitar sounds

Post by LNovik »

On my Triton Classic, I love that "Wet Dist. guitar" patch. I use it for leads, not chords. It has just the right amount of echo, reverb, and ability to stand out in the mix. However, I would sometimes like a patch with less distortion or harshness, while keeping the sustaining character of each note--something I believe is described as "overdrive." Of course, it's possible the original sample they use for this patch is already distorted/harsh, and there is nothing in the way of editing which would help. Or, of course, perhaps there are ways. I DID change the insert effect from distortion to overdrive, and this did help somewhat. Other than that, I've never tried to edit my patches and wouldn't know where to start. Can anyone recommend something, either in editing and/or where I might be able to purchase other good guitar patches for my Triton (or even for a Kronos).
Thanks.
