Wavestate Editor WAITING FOR DEVICE... on a Mac

I did the 2.0.1 Firmware update using boot mode, but would not connect to the Editor software on my Mac. Working as a midi device over USB just fine. However, it was ok on a different machine running the same OS (10.14.6).

MY FIX: Go to System Preferences / Network. Create a new service (click +). From the INTERFACE list select Wavestate. Configure IPv4: Using DHCP.
Suddenly works.

I'm not a computer guru so it might be just luck. Hope it helps someone.
