Kronos2 audio cd bug!!

Post by dimitris »

Unfortunately, the kronos2 8 in 10 times fails to write audio cd! And when it does it writes only 15,5 or 17,5 seconds in each track!

Am I doing something wrong?

Regards,
Dimitris

I write and make CDs from my music all the time. I simply plug in my CD burner after the keyboard was turned on in the USB port in back. i then go to the internal ssd and look for Audio cd at the bottom. i think after that theyll be an option for Make an audio CD. then youll see a page that asks you to add all your WAV files. typically for like 5 min songs, you shouldnt put much more than 10 songs on a CD. make sure your using CD RW CDs. then once you select your WAV songs you can select the order of them. then click on write to CD and finalize. hope this helps you

Hi wocongming,

The problem was with my external bluray recorder. For some reason it burns only the first 17,5 or 15,5 seconds in each audio track!!!

After many tries with many CD/DVD-Recorders I think that the "Test and Write" command doesn't write the CD in the end. It is empty and I have to choose the "Write" command to write CDs.
Has anyone tried it? I use the last V3.1.4.

Dimitris

I haven’t, but it may very well be an issue with the specific DVD burner. From memory, there is a specific command that DVD and CD burners must recognise to do a test burn, and if yours doesn’t recognise that command it may lead to unpredictable results.

CD burners are sufficiently reliable now days that I don’t think testing (dry runs) are really necessary :)

I tested several cd/dvd recorders and I have the same result. I don't have a problem writing without testing first. I just want to know if this is a bug, just for KORG to investigate.

As a student with a heavy workload, I found a reliable online platform jpost.com that offered custom-written essays. The writers were experts in their fields and provided me with original essays that helped me save time and improve my grades.

I just wrote a couple of Audio CDs using an LG USB DVD Writer without any issues, however using the "Test" and :Test and Write" option didn't work. I'm not convinced this is necessarily a "bug" per se - likely more just a compatibility issue.

Also, packet writing for data works fine too, but only with CDs and not DVDs.
