Post by Space Girl »

Just seen the big sale is on today, Easter. Not sure how long for but wanted to let everyone know so you don't miss it.

Looks like the sale is on for 2 weeks. Tempted to get the Italian Grand.
Has anyone gotten it and if so, how much better than pianos included on the Kronos 2?
I like the Berlin grand, but not in love with a couple of the upper tuned strings.
And I get a strange tone for a note or 2 in mid octave range that stands out from its neighbor notes. Anybody else hear that?

Thanks

I'd love to add some new Piano's but even when on sale the prices are bonkers

I bought the Italian grand while on sale some years ago. It is one of my two favorites from Korg with the Berlin. I use them for different purposes as both have quite different characters.

I bought the new EXs377 Film Atmos & Pads by KApro and they are fantastic and well worth getting.

I also bought EXs204 Ambius 3: Expanse which is also amazing for those who want unusual sfx.

I got myself the New Kronos pack for my Kronos 1 (putting it on par with my K2 sound wise) and Purgatory Creek/Busch's excellent Rhodes Mk1 -1975 (A joy to play, i love it)

I didn't realize you need an extra Gb of RAM to actually preload/use all the samples from the Kronos Pack. Luckily there was a nice guide on this forum with the required RAM specs listed and put one of my older pc's sticks in the K1. Good to go! :)
Tools: Korg Kronos 61(for live) Korg Kronos 2 61(home studio) Korg 01/Wfd (x2), Korg TR Rack, Yamaha MoDX7, Yamaha SY99, Modal Electronics Cobalt 8x, Roland XV-5080, Roland JD-990, Roland A90, Akai MPC X, PC with Ableton Live 11 and all kinds of VST's
