No DAW integration

Post by Minneapolis Musician »

I was very disappointed to see no DAW integration in the Pa5X.

But I guess it is primarily aimed at playing LIVE, not for studio work, as I do.

Live playing is its market and typical buyer, I think.

yup

but id pay even more than price of the pa5x. if it had all in this thread here

http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... 95028dddaa

one can dream...

But also - these days - no keyboard that doesn't have the key DAW integration points listed in this thread can really be called a "workstation". in my book.

Genos fails to be a "workstation" by these criteria too.

Hopefully not the next iteration

why 3 usb ports?
is there anything else to come?

1x midi
1x data transfer
1x ???????

only external controllers, I can't imagine, is there anything else coming up?

If so, hopefully multi-audio, stereo already exists via jack

Not having the audio over USB interface is a big killer for me and everyone else that uses the pa5x with a daw or even with an ipad..

No clue why its not in the specs…

EC5 why was it removed??

Post by Marco Filipe »

I'm very sad and worried about the missing EC5 port. Don't take this possibility away from us, or else find a solution through the usb port. Please.
I'm used to using this pedal since the pa2x. Please arrange possibility to use it again. If not, it doesn't make sense for me to buy the pa5x.
And please don't take away any more possibilities, which we are used to in previous versions. Like some possibilities that were unfortunately removed from pa3x to pa4x.
It makes no sense to upgrade the PA line and remove possibilities. In my opinion, the more possibilities a keyboard has, the better it is.
