new pa700 screen freezing problem-help

Post by erez1305 »

Hello
Two days ago I purchased a new pa700
Everything looks great and plays beautifully
And after working for a few minutes suddenly
Like someone is clicking on my screen
and changes styles and sounds
And when that happens the screen freezes
You can still play and change sounds from the buttons but the screen does not respond to touch

I had this problem a few years ago on an earlier model - I fixed it by placing thin spacers between the screen and the frame - vibrations on my keyboard were activating the screen.

Try this:- press on the outside edge of the screen (not on the actual glass) and see if it performs any changes on the screen...

thank you my freind
It happened the first day I opened the box
Does it make sense that I would have to fix it?
They have to replace it to a new one

By the way, did they changed your PA700? It seems to be a serial problem of the Pa700 models, unfortunately Korg is not interested in this issue.

I had it also in the past with my (second hand) PA700, a ghost touch in the lower right corner of the screen. When it happened, the mic settings were opened. But the screen did not freeze, I was able to return to the normal screen.
Later I bought a PA1000 , and this did not have any problems.

On ebay there are digitizers for sale, but of course you must be handy enough to swap it yourself....
