Sound I am trying to use is E096 Mandolin Trem and Strings, however when I try to use that program in a combi, all I get is the strings part, no mandolin.
Is that how it works or can it be done?
How do I get a program (layered snd) to work in Combi mode?

No access here to an M3 presently, but there is a Program with the same name in the Korg M50. The M50 basically uses the M3 EDS sound engine, so it's handling of Programs and Combis should be the same as the M3. When this Program is put into an empty (init) Combi on the M50, the mandolin sound is still present. It might be worth trying the same on the M3, to see what happens. There might be a polyphony issue if the target Combi is already busy with Timbres. Also check the MIDI channel for the Timbre slot being used for the mandolin & strings Program.

Although a bigger issue is stuff not auto-loading as it should! Manual followed to the letter...still does not work!voip wrote:No access here to an M3 presently, but there is a Program with the same name in the Korg M50.
