did you read FAQ of Korg pa5x?

Post by Bescki »

there are many things missing from pa4x like Kaoss, style creator bot, quick record, etc., but they are coming back at April/June update...

Frequently Asked Questions

Onboard MIDI Event Edit
Q: Will there be functionality to allow modification of MIDI events without using an external DAW?
A: Yes. For users who would like to do this directly within Pa5X instead of on an external DAW, we are working on common on-board editing functions including copy, paste, delete, quantize and more. We are targeting the second quarter of 2023 (April – June) although of course this is subject to change without notice.

Style Creator Bot
Q: Will a Style Creator Bot be available in future updates?
A: Yes. A tool similar to the Style Creator Bot will be implemented. Since the Pa5X is a completely new product, the instrument offers a lot of possibilities for tweaking Style-data also in the future OS updates. We are targeting the second quarter of 2023 (April – June) although of course this is subject to change without notice.

Quick Recording
Q: Will recording tools such as Quick Record be present in upcoming OS releases?
A: Yes. We are working on a new design of the Quick Record engine as part of a future OS release that will take full advantage of the powerful new Pa5X engine. We are targeting the second quarter of 2023 (April – June) although of course this is subject to change without notice.

KAOSS Pad
Q: With the KAOSS on-screen FX feature currently found on other Pa Series models make its way to Pa5X?
A: Yes. We are already working on this popular real-time performance feature. We are targeting this to be available late 2023 although of course this is subject to change without notice.

Copy Keyboard Set
Q: Will the Pa5X have a feature like Copy KBD Set for SongBook entries and Styles?
A: Yes. The Pa5X will have new features to handle copying and even a swapping of Keyboard Sets and SongBook entries. We are targeting this to be available the second quarter of 2023 (April – June) although of course this is subject to change without notice.

USB Key and microSD-Protected Data
Q: Will it be possible to load encrypted data coming from older PaX models into Pa5X?
A: Since the Pa5X runs on a completely new system, a new system for encrypted data will be required. This functionality is expected to arrive sometime in the second quarter of 2023 (April – June) although of course this is subject to change without notice.

Compatibility with Previous PaX Models
Q: Is it possible to load SET files from other PaX models into Pa5X?
A: Currently, the Pa5X can read and convert data originating from Pa4X only. We are targeting the second quarter of 2023 (April – June) although of course this is subject to change without notice.

Q: When will songbook data from Pa4X be compatible with Pa5X?
A: We are targeting April 2023 although this is subject to change without notice.

Hardware Options
Q: Will there be a replacement for the EC5 foot switch?
A: the EC5 footswitch has been negatively affected by the component shortages affecting so many industries around the world. We have to redesign it using alternative components but still delivering the same and may be improved controls. We are targeting availability in September 2023, although of course this is subject to change without notice.

Q: When will PaAS be available?
A: the PaAs has been negatively affected by the component shortages affecting so many industries around the world. We have to redesign it using alternative components but still delivering the same high-quality sound. We are targeting availability in September 2023, although of course this is subject to change without notice.

thank you for this Informations.
For me this all and this news with the long waiting time is a big big catastrope. I had selled my Pa4x with Paas at July. I was very sure that Korg deliver the new Pa5x in August. The big anouncement and dealers gave me hope and sureness. I never expected that Korg will not be able to produce the Keayoard because they are releasing every month new items.
Now I see that I must wait until Sept 2023 to get my System Equipment completed with Pa5x and Paas.
I never expected such a deep big catastrophe. I don‘t know what to do … still
no chance to get one here.
let me know if anyone sells a 76key - software bugs don‘t matter ..
