Using KARMA/arpeggiator with external midi keyboard

Post by salomao »

Helloo all

I use an external midi keyboard controler to play my KRONOS sounds. By doing so, I can extend the number of sounds I can use playing live.

For exemple, I use a combination with 4 programs and set 2 of those programs to use midi channel 2, so when I play the external midi keyboard controler (set to use midi channel 2) those 2 programs will sound, while playing the KRONOS keybord will sound the other 2 programs set on midi channel 1.

The proble is, when I assign a KARMA patch or some kind of arpeggiator to the programs on midi channel 2, the karma/arpeggiator wont apply. I can only here the arpeggiator when I play the KRONOS keyboard.

Is there any way I can set this to work?

Thank you for any help you can provide

On the combi's 7–1: GE Setup/Key Zones page, set the Input Ch. to 2. That should work. By default, it's set to Gch, which is the Kronos's Global MIDI channel setting.
