korg konrtrol editor not writing to nano2pad

so I know I've done this in the past so it does work

I want to change some notes on scene 4. so I go to scene 4 on the kontrol software AND on the hardware (just to make sure)

go to communications menu, hit Write scene set.
does its thing.

unplug, hook it up to my sampler, and it hasn't changed the notes at all, like it hasn't written. so it's just lied to me. what's going on?

ok no worries, I see what's happened.
I don't know why but my kenton USB to Dinn MIDI converter box is outputting things an octave higher, so I just need to set things an octave lower in the editor. ok close/delete thread.
