PA1000 Speaker Grill Stain

Post by moebrand »

Hi Guys
My Pa1000 speaker grill got some stain and I am not sure what caused it.
It seems like it is something oily or greasy and I tried using cleaning wipes and a soft brush , but could not get rid of the stain and it really bothers me.
I am posting a link with a picture and you can see the stain.

Anyone can suggest a solution to this issue or had a similar problem?
Thanks !

I bought a Korg PA1000 second hand (I assume it was around 2-3 years old), and it has this exact same stain on the right side of the left speaker grill.

Even I wonder what could have caused this.
It seems like some kind of chemical change, because no amount of cleaning does anything to it.

Those marks are from the oil in your hand resting on the speaker grill when you play to turn the volume up and down.

When my pa1000 was new , they were not there then they started to show up and I noticed that's where I rest my hand to turn the volume or the balance.

You're right, the stain there is a discoloration of the paint from holding your hand there

I found myself resting my hand there waiting for a song to start so I can adjust the volume so it's not too loud or too soft again that's only my opinion but it sounds pretty good.
