editing fills

Post by losackmd2 »

using BONUS styles on the PA4x sometimes does not have variation 3 or 4
as well as pads .

I am able to go into menu and pads and enter a pad and save it to style and then the style has 4 pads

i cannot get this to work with VARIATIONs 3 or 4 with some of the styles done by third party or wherever these styles come from that aren't on the pa4X ...

can someone please tell me how to add a variation to 3 or 4
appreciate it very much

thanks

To "add" missing VARs, you need to go into STYLE EDIT, select the empty VAR (1,2,3 or 4) and then record the tracks as CV1 or add more CVs as required for that VAR.
You can utilise the track/VAR/CV copy functions to save you some time too - e.g assuming VAR3 is empty, copy bass track from VAR1-CV1 to VAR3-CV1.
Make sure you set the track (VAR) lengths to your requirements - default is 2 measures.

(Good idea to backup your STYLE first (or make a copy of it so you don't lose the original))

Hope this helps.

Basically the same:-

Select the STYLE
Press RECORD to enter editing and elect STYLE EDIT

Here you can select the FILL3 or 4 and create it (record it) track by track
or
you can press MENU and select STYLE EDIT
Now you can copy and paste style elements if you prefer to do it this way.
E.g. you could copy FILL 1 to FILL 3 and then go back and edit it etc...

Hope this makes sense
