VolcaBass not saving "midi rx short message" on se

Folks, I know to have the VolcaBass respond to note on/off, I need to turn the midi rx short message to ON (and I know how to do that).
AFTER changing it to on, and hitting the Step Rec to save it, it works UNTIL I turn the power off/on again.
When I check it seems to be set as OFF so I have to do this every time I turn on the device.
How can I make this setting be on across Power cycles?

It appears that what you're doing is right, and it should keep the setting after switching off; at least that's what mine does when I change a global parameter.
