Not really using my Nautilus

Post by Deadkeys »

I am a gear head and love one of everything....Roland FA06, Nord 5D, MODX61, Yamaha CK61 & MiniNova. bought a Nautilus last year and although I do love the sounds ...two things its heavy AF, and way more compcated than my other boards. I play mostly live and use the Nord and Modx mostly...Nautilus is way to heavy to cart around. I do have a studio but spend very little time cuz of my schedule. Do most of you use it in a studio? Live?
How much are the 61 selling for? Believe it or not Im looking at the Fantom-06 which pales in comparison im sure ....Thoughts? comments

Hi,
I'm a home player only. I sold a Roland RD2000 to buy my Nautilus 88 and have no regrets whatsoever. The quantity and quality of sounds is incredible. I have it midi'd up to a PA5X 61 note and the PA5X piano sounds are so much better when played via a 88 note weighted keyboard.
If I'm being honest I'm far happier with the Nautilus 88 than my PA5X 61. The O/S on the PA5X is still not sorted 22 months after being launched.

I purchased a Nautilus AT 88 for use at my church. Feedback from parishioners has been quite positive. I'm slowly becoming accustomed to the menu structure, although I sometimes find myself heading over to YouTube to check a video when I'm unable to find something.

One of the youth at the church is quite an advanced pianist. He has started to set up his presets. He has worked on the AT only a couple of times, but he definitely sounds impressive with his skills (Classical Compositions). 🙂

Polls can be misleading sometimes. I have used my Nautilus both live and in the studio. These days I am in the studio much more often than out playing. The keyboard lends itself well in both areas. Very happy with my choice of upgrading to the Nautilus from my Oasys. The Oasys is still an active option in the studio as well, but I really enjoy the added acoustic piano and electric piano sounds in the Nautilus. I still enjoy the Karma option in the Oasys among other things it provides. Both are valued. 8)

X-3 to Nautilus

Post by icecoldrocker »

yep i have been playing Korg gear for a long long time. i can tell that Korg must have ran some survey / polls and incorporated R&D from the OASYS in to the M3 then the Kronos and listened to veteran players i can tell by some days of sitting about and wondering wouldn't it be great if this feature was incorporated…

this Nautilus is tantamount to having a DAW in a hardware setting / environment. No audio interface to fiddle with just set up 2 channel mixdown after doing everything watch the levels to make things are clipping next thing i know im uploading to Bitchute
