How to record HQ audio on Ipad?
I’ve connected line out from my PA5X to the audio port of my Ipad. But when I start to record video, the Ipad uses its built-in microphone and not the audio signal from the cable. I cannot find a setting in the Ipad to change this. Any experiences or hints? Other suggestions on how to record video with HQ audio are also appreciated. I want to record in one go, so that it’s a recording of a ‘live’ performance. Thanks in advance!
By the way, why there isn’t a button on the PA5X that allows you to record everything you play in one go is a complete mystery to me. It’s one of the most important things I want to do with the instrument and I think a lot of musicians will think the same. I hope it will be implemented in an OS update soon.
It should be as simple like this:

And in case of PA5X of course including style, variation changes, KS changes etcetera, the lot. All in a one go recording.

It's almost as simple as the video that is linked to in the second post, which requires two screen taps to start the recording. If all the prerequisites (e.g. Style/Set) have already been set up, and you're ready to play, then three or four button press/screen taps is all it should take. Press the Rec/Edit button, tap on Audio Rec, choose recording Quality (skip this step if already set), then tap on the REC onscreen button.

Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it. Yes, a good hint, but then you stay in the Record screen when you start to play and cannot see the keys screen with the Keyboard Sets anymore. I start making mistakes in the arrangement because of that. I cannot memorize every KS for all the songs I play, I need to see them in my screen. It would be much more convenient to have the standard screen with just a little red flashing REC label somewhere in it. The same with the pad names, I need to see them in front of me while playing/recording.voip wrote:It's almost as simple as the video that is linked to in the second post, which requires two screen taps to start the recording. Hit the record button and then press exit. The screen returns to the main with all the keyboard sets, etc., visible. There is a small "Rec" flashing on the leftmost corner of the home screen, reminding you that the recording is ongoing.F-Minor wrote:...Yes, a good hint, but then you stay in the Record screen when you start to play and cannot see the keys screen with the Keyboard Sets anymore. Hi Jagi,
I feel embarrassed...
How can I have missed that!
I didn't see it like that in the PA5X official Korg tutorial!
(see this video at 1:10 and further:

I thought pressing the exit button would exit recording mode.
Thank you so much for helping me out!
And I like the PA5X even better now!
