Controlling intensity of a motion sequence

Post by TransSynth »

I use my Modwave with Cubase DAW. Is there a way to automate the intensity of a motion sequence so that the effect can be smoothly brought in and out rather than just started and stopped? This should surely be a simple thing but I can't find a way. Perhaps I'm missing something obvious.

I know nothing about Cubase and I don't use DAWs, so I can't give you specific examples of automating this stuff using those.

But generally speaking, assuming I've understood you correctly, you can modulate the intensity of a step sequence using a continuous controller (any available unused CC number, not just the wheels or mod knobs) assigned to the Int Mod parameter in the Modulation Matrix.

But it depends on what your modulating of course, because some modulations automatically make use of the Int Mod parameter. In those instances, you'll want to use a Mod Processor to combine multiple sources. Off the top of my head, Scale would probably do.

Hopefully that points you in the right direction.
