Korg EC5 Pedal

Post by Chuck »

Sorry forum members. I've been out of touch for a while and was wondering Korg ever fixed the "Lack" of an EC5 pedal on the PA5? Do you still have to use the finger to activate the vocal harmonizer?

Thanks. Not sure I understand your response = fcb? I'm guessing no to the pedal and you still have to turn on the harmonizer with your singer. Right?

Try m-vav Chocolate. Far more compacted than the Behringer Fcb1010.
Only 35$. Compact and the four buttons can be programmed short press and long press. One controller, 8 functions. Of course only sends midi messages found on page 580 and 581 in the user manual. (No var up/ down, harmony on/off)…Need adapter 3.5 mm to midi din to connect to midi in.
I suggest Bluetooth as they also sell a midi usb dongle to connect. Then the pedal will be wireless. Then You can plug in an expression pedal to it. Frees up the 2 assignable ports for harmony on/off, Rotary, or ?

Hi KeysFla,
A big thank you for bringing M-VAVE to my attention. Looks like a Company selling good products at great prices.

I have taken a pedal apart and they are well constructed.
I was skeptical at first, but only a $35 investment. They are always upgrading, but difficult to contact for support. Comes with an app that very easy to setup the control messages.
Presently have two pedals. var 1-4, keyboard set 1-4, start/stop, break, intro 1, Ending 1-3, Expression pedal. Added assignable buttons for harmony on/off and rotary. My iPad is plugged into the device port, use midi flow app to setup the pairing of the pedals. MIDI flow pa5x connects to midi in channel 15, which is set to “control”.
Will work the same for earlier models.
