Confused what to do as a live musician for the 1.30 update

Post by DjStiky »

Hey everyone,

I can’t believe I’m actually asking this but I’m really confused for once if I should apply the 1.30 update or not to my PA5X as a live musician. Hearing about freezing issues, scary stuff.
Am I better off waiting for the next update? Gotta admit, this keyboard’s been causing me anxiety… not a fun experience so far.

hello DjStiky,

I'd say, better the devil you know.....

I am on V1.3 and have converted, played, edited a few hundred different styles without a freeze or issue (knock on wood). It is important to note that I don't use any of the User xx banks for sounds, styles, pads etc. I leave everything on my USB stick. I am keeping the core / internal drive clean.

However, if you are happy with the version you are on and don't experience any freezes or issues, stay on that version till the the next update. Unless the version you are on is also unreliable, then d@mned either way.
