My Korg Krome does not start up anymore.
Very strange, the light around the joystick does flash in a constant rythm but the screen stays black.
Is there maybe a battery in the Krome witch has to be replaced?
Grtz Theo

Yes. The external power adapter. It could just be that the coaxial power connector contacts are dirty, so using a bit of switch cleaner on the contacts might resolve the issue, before purchasing a replacement power supply.
There are several potential causes of the described behaviour. A bad incoming power supply is one of them, and the cheapest to fix, so worth doing first.
Out of interest, does the rear-facing LED also flicker, in time with the joystick LEDs?

Yes the blue led on the rear also flashes.
It looks like the tempo is the standard 120 bpm

The power supply did give only 6 V anymore. So I ordered a new one and it is working!voip wrote:Yes. The external power adapter.
